About Eurojackpot
The Rules
Eurojackpot is a transnational European lottery launched in March 2012. The goal is to pick five correct numbers out of 50 plus two supplementary numbers out of another 12; the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 139,838,160. The jackpot starts at €10,000,000 and can roll over up to €120,000,000.
History
The Eurojackpot lottery was proposed in 2006 to compete with the EuroMillions lottery. After years of negotiations, the official framework was established, and the first draw took place on 23 March 2012.
